Two hideaways, one hill.
Each of our two hideaways is unique, handcrafted, and set in its own pocket between the argan trees. One is a yurt
on a raised oak platform in a walled garden; the other is a stone cottage by the gate. They don't share a wall, a
garden or a view. We've thought about each one to make you feel looked after — and left alone.
We want to bring you as close to this coast as possible, so both hideaways open onto their own terrace or garden.
But both come with the comforts: a hotel-quality bed and linen, a fully equipped kitchenette, fibre wifi that works,
heating for the winter nights. Breakfast arrives in a basket around nine.

Step through the gate and the rest of the hill disappears.
The yurt is the bedroom, and only the bedroom: a king mattress on a 5.5-metre platform of oak, under walls of traditional felt that hold the temperature through the night and soften every sound.
By day the light comes in through the crown of the roof and moves slowly round the walls; by night it's lamplight on felt and oak. We have heating and air conditioning .
But on most nights you'll want neither. You'll want the roof open. Everything else happens outside, in a garden that is yours alone. Timber stitched between the trees and curved walls of stone enclose it; inside are an outdoor hot-and-cold shower, sun loungers, a semi-outdoor kitchen and bathroom under a solid roof, a koi pond, and a traditional clay barbecue.
This is the yurt's real living room, where the barbecue basket gets cooked, where breakfast gets eaten, where the evening goes on longer than planned. We built it to feel like a private paradise: simple, natural, and more comfortable than it has any right to be. Guests tell us they relax the moment they close the gate, sleep better here than anywhere, and wake feeling they've been
somewhere else.
We think it's the felt, the silence, and the fact that the nearest streetlight is in the village.
the yurt is more than a tent. Message us with any question. we're on the hill most of the time.
Kaouki Hill Cottage
Kaouki Hill, Sidi Kaouki
A stone cottage by the gate, built with the materials and techniques of the coast, with the feel of an old Moorish
fisherman's house that has nested into the hill as if it had always been there.

Step in and the noise stops. Sixteen square metres of stone, lime and timber, and none of them wasted. The walls are thick: they hold the cool in August and the warmth of the fire in January. The feeling inside is simple and natural living that happens to be very comfortable — a bed, linen and towels of the quality you'd expect in a five-star hotel, a marble counter and a double cooktop to cook on, a stone bathroom with room to move, and a fire to sit by whenthe wind gets up.
We wanted it to feel like it had been found rather than built: a fusion of the traditional construction of this coast and the small modern luxuries that make a week easy. Guests tell us they sleep here like nowhere else and wake feeling they're in another world.
Outside the door, a table and chairs under the argan trees, sun loungers, and a clay barbecue. Watch the sun rise
over the hills and set over the ocean without leaving your chair.
the Gate house is a comfy little studio at the entry of the property. Message us with any question. we're on the hill most of the time.
