Kaouki Hill FAQs

1) - Is there a nightly minimum to stay at Kaouki Hill?

Yes we have a two night Minimum and a 30 day maximum stay.

2) - Is there wifi?

Yes we have fast fibre optic broadband served by an Antennae system.

 

3) - Do you serve food?

We do not serve food apart from the Breakfast basket served to your hideout each morning. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchenette for your convenience. There may be options to buy a pack lunch, BBQ pack or welcome basket available with 24 hours notice. Please enquire in advance.

4) - Can I have a good stay at Kaouki hill without a car?

Yes, many guests enjoy their stay without a car. Taxis to/from Essaouira cost 150–200 DHS each way. Sidi Kaouki village is a 45-minute walk, the nearest beach is 20 minutes. Village taxis are less reliable and cost similar to Essaouira trips. We ensure guests aren’t stranded at night and offer rides with our team when available.

5) - How is access to Kaouki Hill

Kaouki Hill is accessed via a 1–2 km dirt road from the main beachfront road or alternative routes through Iskoha village. The track may seem rough, especially on sloped corners, but is easily passable for most cars—no 4x4 needed. Hundreds of guests have navigated it without issues like getting stuck or damaging vehicles. Low-slung sports cars should contact us first.

6) - Is Kaouki hill an Eco resort?

Although not accredited Kaouki Hill prioritizes sustainability and ecology, using natural materials like wood to offset cement, glass, and metal. Our gardens feature drought-resistant native and select imported plants, requiring minimal water. We monitor water use, recycle plastic, metal, and glass, and plan to install solar panels for electricity and water heating soon.

7) - What is the best time to visit Sidi Kaouki?

Sidi Kaouki has a 12 month season that appeals to different tourists for different reasons. Summer is very hot and windy and is preferred by Kite boarders, windsurfers and local tourists. Autumn, Winter and spring are most popular with surfers, adventure tourists, and foreign tourists.

8) - Is kaouki Hill and Sidi Kaouki a family friendly destination?

Yes Sidi kaouki’s appeal is growing with families and there are an abundance of activities to occupy busy kids from waterspouts, to riding animals, quads & bikes of all types, cultural experiences, tours, Essaouira Medina, beach days and great restaurants. Kaouki Hill is a family business and our Yurt is perfect for families and groups.

9) - Is there a swimming pool at Kaouki Hill?

At present we do not have a swimming pool but we are scheduling the build as we speak and hope to have started construction within nine months.
